rachel_grace@sbcglobal.net asks: does anyone have any original good organic vegetable garden tips for my home gardening class?
The answer voted best is:
Answer by Herr Bag
Compost, compost, compost
Good compost reduces water runoff, reduces weeds, naturally fertilizes, improves soil aeration and percolation and recycles many (non-meat) food leftovers.
Good, organic soil encourages worms, who accelerate the process and enrich the soil through conversion and through aeration

This site has hundreds of organic gardening tips

I like this site because, as an organic gardener, knowing the nutritional content of compost materials is valuable information. This site offers an easy to interpret table of nutritional values.
The Vegetable Gardener’s Bible is a valuable resource. And I use alfalfa pellets as a soil conditioner/slow release fertilizer. (nitrogen and hormones that aid plant growth)
