Who Should Have Alternative Gardens?
Anyone is able to create an alternative garden. Anyone includes, the farmers, to a city town house person. For those who haven’t grown any food before you maybe at advantage, as you have no preconceived idea on what you should be doing as a gardener. So, it may even be more difficult to those who are experienced at gardening, as using the techniques of making this type of garden, maybe difficult for those who find it hard in letting go of their old system that they have been used.
Like many other industries, many of us find it hard to let go of doing things in a particular way, especially when it comes to well seasoned gardeners. Humans have learned over time, how to use the agricultural method to create a successful garden, so it can be quite a challenge to go against something that we know and do something new and different. Many may question its methods and see it as a step into the opposite direction of successful gardening. If we are able to let go of needing to control everything, especially nature, we may in fact be able to use nature, and actually grow food at a more successful rate than we had ever before.
Starting up Your Alternative Garden
If you already have a vegetable garden, creating it into a garden that is an alternative garden can be easy and simple to do. For one, your path is already laid out for you, so you wont have to go onto the garden again. What you now need to do is, start up a composting method so that you can apply it to your garden and to the surface of the soil. Then you will need to plant your plants diversely and densely.
If you are someone that doesn’t have any sort of vegetable garden, then creating a garden bed where you don’t have to dig, is useful. Once that is sorted you can apply the method of ecological gardening.
Your Small-Alternative Garden
If you happen to live someone where you have a small unit or a small house, with no real ground, you are still able to create this type of garden. You can do this by creating a small-alternative garden, by using many different containers. Using poly-Styrofoam boxes, that have holes for draining are a great choice to create this mini garden. You will need to fill this garden with a good pot mixture, and you will then need to arrange your boxes so that you can fit as many boxes as you can in your patio or veranda. Instead of creating a composting system that is quite large, you can purchase a farm of worms, and add these worm casts to your soil and use this as a fertilizer mechanism. As soon, as you have your boxes all set up, you are now ready to go, and adopt the methods that are used when creating an alternative garden in you home. This is a great alternative to create a garden for those who don’t have a full size backyard. You are still able to grow vegetables and save a lot of time doing it to, by using this method.
