I’m starting my very first Container garden. I really want this to work GREAT in the ongoing drought conditions in my region.
I have a 10 gallon plastic container, enough Miracle Grow Potting mix to fill it 3/4-full and a few bags of vegetable seeds (Yellow onions, Juliet Hybrid Tomatoes, and Bell Peppers.)

HOW / WHEN should I start this planting-menagerie? I am told that the last frost of the season should be around April 15 w.i. my region (the Texas Panhandle.)
Thanks for known replies.

  1. Ooh how exciting! It is probably best to wait until after the frosts. But one of the biggest problems with container gardening is drainage. Make sure 1) Water can drain so it’s not too waterlogged, and 2) To water little and often – to make sure it doesn’t dry out.
