motroo asks: What are some veggies that are good for a winter garden?
I live in Texas and would like to plant a winter veggie garden. What are some that I could plan, that don’t take up alot of space because I don’t have it? I’ve planted spring gardens but never a winter garden. so any advice would be very welcome.

Go to your search box and type in Texas Department of Agriculture and search until you find what can be grown in your state in the winter. I also live in a southern state and we grown onions, turnip greens, mustard greens, collard greens and if you are far enough south you can grow cabbage, bell peppers and a number of other vegetables.

We use an Aerogarden here (in NY). You can grow any vegetables that aren’t root vegetables (carrots, beets…). They also grow incredibly fast and you can continually harvest them for months. It’s a great investment, even during the summer. With this you can pick and choose what you normally eat or would like to eat and only plant that.
