Some soils are more acidic than others, some have a high clay content and all of this plays an important role in what plans will be suited for your property. Simple soil testing kits can be purchased from good garden centres and once you are armed with the information, you can head back to a garden centre and seek advice as to what plants will be good for your particular type of soil.
Finally do some careful research into the plants, shrubs and trees you wish to plant. Consider colours, size, shape and even consider what time of year the plants will flower. If you plan carefully, your garden can change from one colour to the next, every month, giving you beautiful and vivid colours throughout the entire year.
