Just get a small one intended for homeowner use. Make sure someone shows you how to use the thing. They can be dangerous if misused. My neightbor put a dent in her car with one.
Look at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Northern Tool, and Harbor Freight Tools for a good electric powered pressure washer. 1400-1600 psi should be fine. It shouldn’t cost more than $ 100-$ 110.
For pressure washing tips and safety go to http://www.ultimatewasher.com/how-to-washing.htm.
Hope this helps.
Actually any pressure washer you are using to clean your garden path I won’t use on my car. I would be afraid I would talk off the paint or something. Just be careful and I hope you know what you might be doing. The garden path can probably take anything.
You can find good pressure washers at just about any hardware store, Tractor Supply, Lowes, Home Depot, Harbor Freight{one of my favorites} etc. They can be cheap or expensive, just remember you get what you pay for. DO NOT worry about getting something with high rated power. They make different nozzles that control the water jet, this way you can use 1 machine for many different jobs. I have a machine that can cut through wood or I can change the end and mist plants{if I wanted}. I have used mine for taking paint off of stuff and regularly wash my vehicles.
