Gardens especially vegetable gardens have captured the imagination of gardening enthusiasts all over the world. Some gardening enthusiasts also grow herbs in their vegetable gardens owing to their interest in alternative medicine.
No garden is complete without the smell of roses filling the air. Lilacs are also a pretty addition to any garden. You can impress the love of your life by making a bouquet of flowers that you have grown in your garden. Gardens are maintained by gardening enthusiasts not only because they enhance the look of the property but also for a sense of peace and joy which comes from seeing their creations grow.
While planting a garden make sure that you include plants which produce flowers of various colours so that visitors to the garden get a visual treat when they visit.Plants in the garden should face the sunlight for most part of the day and they need an optimum supply of water and fertilizers if one needs to achieve healthy growth in plants.Regular pruning is required to prevent outgrowth and it helps maintain the robustness and the health of the bushes.
Lawns can be maintained by a combination of various activities like aeration, patching, mowing and weeding. A lawn should reflect a homeowner’s personal style and character.Lawns require a considerable amount of maintenance and care. Unwanted visitors like pests, insects, animals and children can cause damage to the plants in the lawn and should be avoided at all costs. Proper fencing, spraying of insecticides can avoid all these hassles.
One may be tempted to plant a lot of varieties of plants in their garden but the temptation should be avoided at all costs. It would lead to overcrowding leading to inadequate air flow leading to diseases and moulds. One should separate various sections of the garden with rocks, shrubs or woods. This is done so that the flower bed is not damaged accidentally while mowing the lawn.
